One of my most favorite moments with my 18-month-old daughter has to be our nightly bedtime routine.
When she is ready for bed, my daughter will make her way to her bedroom … dragging a blanket behind her. She’ll then stand beside her crib knowing that “night-night” is near.
While holding her and giving her a nighttime kiss but before putting her down for the night, she nearly always puts her head onto my shoulder. Without her knowing, she makes this old man turn into mush.
And I know she’s just tired. However to me, this one simple act is the best feeling in the entire world.
Great comment Dave. There really is nothing better that quiet time with your daughter. It’s actually my favorite prayer time…a great time each night to thank God for the blessing of a sweet little girl!
My favorite memories of my little boy was when I’d take him hunting when he was a kid. He sure did love it and I did too. We are still hunting buddies today. Thank you. Charles
Charles — Thanks for sharing. Amazing what I enjoy doing today that I learned from my own dad (college football) and my grandfather (time on the water). Like you, I hope to pass new traditions on to my son.
