Today is Haley Margaret’s second birthday.

Happy Birthday sweet girl!

Earlier this week, Haley moved from her crib to a toddler bed.  And today, during her birthday breakfast at The Fox (a Hollingsworth family tradition), she ate all of her food with no help from mommy and daddy.

She is growing up fast and the time is flying by.

Today is a reminder to Amy and me, and all parents, to savor every moment with our kids.

Indeed.

Thanks to the great folks at Chick-fil-A, my daughter and I had a great date tonight.  What a terrific idea by the nation’s premier fast food chain.  Employees were dressed in black tie.  A string quartet set the mood.  Table cloths and flowers adorned each table.

For my toddler daughter and me, it was just a fun night out together.  For the girls a little older, it really was great to watch the daddy/daughter interaction.  Chick-fil-A even put conversation starters on each table…encouraging thoughtful, meaningful conversation between dads and their girls.

Thanks Chick-fil-A.  And more importantly, thanks Haley, for a great date night!
